The Clifton NE5-D series of shaking water baths, feature precision PID control, allowing observation of set and actual temperature simultaneously. A broad range of accessory flask clips and racks ensures flexibility for routine and specialised work.
NE5-D features bold LED display of measured temperatures in real-time, increments of ±0.1°C, using precision PID temperature control.
NE5-28DT has a built in timer, settings variable, 00:01 to 99:59 [hh:mm] which activates at set temperature. Settings retained even after turning the unit off.
Accessory clips and racks can be mounted onto the perforated tray which fits onto the reciprocating stainless steel trolley. Flasks and test tube racks can easily be loaded and unloaded by lifting out the complete shelf. The trolley can also easily be removed for cleaning. The perforated tray is supplied as standard.
All models feature a high quality corrosion resistant stainless steel tank, with a bright clean finish housed in a durable painted outer case. Painted surfaces feature anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance.

Features and Benefits
Clifton shaking water bath designed for immersion of flasks, bottles and racks in a highly stable temperature environment throughout the water bath. The shaker baths feature a useful stainless steel recessed tray for standing flasks on prior to and after immersion.
Bold temperature control panel ensuring set and actual water temperature can be easily seen.
Before leaving our factory every water bath is identified with a unique serial number and undergoes a factory calibration adjusting control to known traceable value. Electrically tested for safety at final inspection and a test certificate enclosed in rear of the instruction book.
The trolley is stable in use and the removable perforated shelf makes loading and unloading easy, unlike other traditional shaker baths where the whole shaker carriage has to be removed.
Quiet running shaker mechanism and drive motor.
Painted surfaces feature “anti-bacterial technology” which inhibits bacterial growth, improving hygiene requirements as demanded by clinical and laboratory environments.
Safety Features
Thermal cut out fitted in the heater.
The under/over temperature alarm is automatically set 4˚C above and 4˚C below set temperature. When in alarm condition the indicator illuminates and the actual bath temperature is shown. If bath is over temperature heating is switched off. Once liquid temperature has fallen or risen above/below the alarm setting, the indicator clears and actual bath temperature is shown and the control resumes.

Controls
Featuring a bold LED display of measured temperatures in real-time and in increments of ±0.1°C, using a precision PID temperature controller. Temperature settings are retained in the memory, even after the unit has been turned off. Easy to use controls, utilising touch keypads for setting temperature values. Features auto setting temperature alarm protecting samples at set temperature. Every unit undergoes a factory calibration at two temperatures for validation.
Speed Control
Shaking control 0 to 400 strokes / 0 to 200rpm - stroke length variable up to 40mm (excluding NE5-10D which is fixed at 20mm). Opening the side access port allows stroke length to be varied.
Heating and Sensors
Heaters and temperature sensor are concealed under the tank providing an easy to clean working area. The heating footprint covers the underside of the tank and with a low mass provides rapid energy transfer, resulting in quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption and improved temperature uniformity.
Heating Information
Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres - see accessories. Covering the bath with a lid reduces energy consumption and running costs.

Clear Lift Off Gable Lid
Clifton clear gable lids help reduce evaporation, assist in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and save energy. These gable lids with a high profile allow extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points to contaminate samples. The lid design ensures all condensate returns back into the bath. Insulated handles for safe use.
