TripleBaths™

Temperature Range : Ambient + 5°C - 99°C

Triplebath™ features three independently controlled unstirred water baths in one unit. Analogue and digital options available in either 2 litre or 4 litre combinations. Typically suitable for classroom use performing PCR routines in shallow temperature controlled water, each tank can be set to a different temperature for denaturing, annealing and elongation – reducing solvent and consumables.

Comprising of high quality corrosion resistant stainless steel tanks, with a bright clean finish housed in a durable paint finished outer case. Painted surfaces feature anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. 4 Litre chambers are fitted with side lifting handles for ease of transportation.

Each chamber comes complete with a removable “low” height stainless steel perforated shelf.

Controls icon

Controls

NE1 Series – Easy to use analogue dial pointer for setting temperature, graduated in 5°C divisions. Illuminated on/off switch and heater indication lamp. We verify the performance of every bath calibrating its controls and water temperature at 45°C for consistent temperature control in use.

NE1D Series – Digital LED controller for setting temperature with 1°C increments. Temperatures can be easily and rapidly set with the push button, wipe clean control panel. Temperature setting is retained in memory, even after ‘power off’.

heating and sensors icon

Heating and Sensors

Heaters and temperature sensor are concealed under the tank providing an easy to clean working area. The heating footprint covers the underside of the tank and with a low mass provides rapid energy transfer, resulting in quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption and improved temperature uniformity.

Heating Information

Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres – see accessories. Covering the bath with a lid reduces energy consumption and running costs. This range of baths will operate at 99°C however are not designed for continuous boiling, the NE1B boiling bath range is recommended.

Clear Lift Off Gable Lid

Clifton clear gable lids help reduce evaporation, assist in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and save energy. These gable lids with a high profile allows extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points to contaminate samples. The lid design ensures all condensate returns back into the bath. Insulated handles for safe use.

Stainless Steel Flat Lid

When fitted, this lid prevents contamination of liquid from airborne particles. Can also be useful when a Clifton water bath is ‘in use’, minimising heat loss, saving energy, and assisting to maintain bath temperature ready for the next application. The lid is fitted with an insulated handle.

Allows easy and quick emptying of water baths, immerse into water bath, squeeze the bellow and point the outlet to a bucket or sink.

Notes: Water temperature must be below 45°C before use.
Product Code: BX0616

Factory Calibration record must be ordered with equipment.

  1. Factory calibration record.
  2. The completed calibration record will be enclosed at the rear of the instruction book accompanying the Clifton unit carrying the following information:
Unique record number for traceability. Serial number of the unit. Instrument it was checked against. Calibration temperature and actual sensitivity results.
  3. The measurement of uncertainty ±0.8°C. Ambient temperature 21°C ±3°C.

Notes:

  1. The calibration record provides a measurement of precision about set point with maximum and minimum sensitivity readings obtained. Precision is defined as “(1) The ability of a measurement to be consistently reproduced” and “(2) The number of significant digits to which a value has been reliably measured”.
  2. The calibration record does not provide or assures any form of accuracy. Accuracy is defined as “the ability of a measurement to match the actual value of the quantity being measured”.
