Features and Benefits
Safety Features
• Thermal cut out fitted in the heater.
• Bath fitted with non-slip rubber feet.
• Adjustable over temperature device can be set a few degrees above the set working temperature, protecting samples from overheating/damage.
Energy Consumption
0.55kWh @ 37°C
0.55kWh @ 60°C – lid fitted
The lower the figure, the less energy used. Information supplied for size and range comparison, guidance only and measured consumption at set point. Please remember that the energy consumption may vary due to factors such as location, ventilation, ambient temperatures and loading.
Controls
Analogue temperature control and dial pointer, from 0 to 380rpm. Stroke length is variable up to 40mm, opening the access port allows the stroke length to be varied. Every unit undergoes a factory temperature calibration for validation.
Speed Control
Shaking speed control is by analogue dial pointer graduated in 100rpm divisions from 0-400. Stroke length is variable up to 40mm. Opening the side access port allows stroke length to be varied.
Heating and Sensors
Heaters are concealed under the tank providing a clutter free working area easy to wipe clean. The heating footprint covers underside base of the tank, its low mass provides rapid energy transfer; quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption with improved temperature uniformity.
Heating Information
Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres – see accessories. Covering the bath with a lid reduces energy consumption and running costs.
Clear Lift Off Gable Lid
Clifton clear gable lids help reduce evaporation, assist in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and save energy. These gable lids with a high profile allows extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points to contaminate samples. The lid design ensures all condensate returns back into the bath. Insulated handles for safe use.

Stainless Steel Hinged Gable Lid
Clifton stainless steel hinged gable lids reduce evaporation, assist in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and save energy. These stainless steel gable lids with a high profile design allow extended
use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points and condensate returns back into the bath.
Hinged lids have a number of benefits in use over lift off lids, they simply hinge open, any condensation collects in the lid, samples can be easily removed or placed in water bath. Close the lid and all the collected condensation runs into rear of the water bath.
