This range of boiling baths has been enhanced to include drain tap and clear lift off lid. Designed for applications that require continuous boiling. This bath also has the flexibility where the control can be regulated from a gentle simmer to a vigorous boil.

Comprising of a stainless steel tank housed in a durable paint finished outer case. Painted surfaces feature a tough anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Complete with a removable stainless steel perforated false base. The bath, which is simmer-statically controlled, is ideally suited to prolonged periods of boiling.

Fitted with a sheathed immersion element. With the heater directly immersed in water it provides rapid boiling. A standard feature is a constant level device, which maintains a fixed level of liquid thereby eliminating the need to regularly top up the bath.

Clifton boiling baths are designed for immersion of flasks, bottles and racks.

The shelf in the stainless steel tank provides a stable support for flasks/bottles/racks that can be removed for cleaning.
The shelf is a low height design maximising the working height.

Before leaving our factory every boiling bath is identified with a unique serial number and electrically tested for safety at final inspection. Test certificate enclosed in rear of the instruction book. All boiling baths checked to boil.

Painted surfaces feature “anti-bacterial technology” which inhibits bacterial growth, improving hygiene requirements as demanded by clinical and laboratory environments.

Safety Features

• Bath fitted with non-slip rubber feet.

• Always connect the constant level with laboratory tubing to a water supply, adjust the flow to gently top up the water level, whilst maintaining boiling. Not fitted on NE1B-18W or NE1BD-18W

Low Liquid Float Device

• A low liquid float device protects the heaters and a red warning light on the front panel alerts users to refill the bath.

Analogue dial with proportional 1 to 10 scale. Illuminated on/off switch and heater indication lamp.

The bath can control the amount of boiling from a gentle simmer to a vigorous boil. Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres. Covering the bath with a lid also reduces energy consumption and running costs.

The immersed element provides rapid heat energy transfer, resulting in quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption.

Stainless Steel Flat Lid

When fitted, this lid prevents contamination of liquid from airborne particles. Can also be useful when a Clifton water bath is ‘in use’, minimising heat loss, saving energy, and assisting to maintain bath temperature ready for the next application. The lid is fitted with an insulated handle.

Stainless Steel Hinged Gable Lid

Clifton stainless steel hinged gable lids reduce evaporation, assist in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and save energy. These stainless steel gable lids with a high profile design allow extended
use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points and condensate returns back into the bath.

Hinged lids have a number of benefits in use over lift off lids, they simply hinge open, any condensation collects in the lid, samples can be easily removed or placed in water bath. Close the lid and all the collected condensation runs into rear of the water bath.

Stainless Steel Test Tube Racks

Laboratory test tube rack, stainless steel 304 spec 18/8 non-magnetic, bright finish. Supplied flat packed ready for assembly. Can be cleaned with detergents, ultrasonics or autoclaved. Durable and stable in use with looped handles for easy retrieval from hot water baths.

Stainless Steel Concentric Ringed Lid

The lid and rings are manufactured from stainless steel. The concentric rings provide varying hole diameters in the lid. In use the lid minimises evaporation and maintains temperature stability of the water bath when tall vessels are being heated at elevated temperatures.

By removing concentric rings, the hole sizes can be varied to accommodate different sizes of vessel.
