Features and Benefits
Safety Features
• Thermal cut out fitted in the heater.
Controls
Easy to use analogue dial pointer for setting temperature, graduated in 5°C divisions. Illuminated on/off switch and heater indication lamp. Every unit undergoes a factory calibration at one temperature for validation.
Heating/Cooling Information
Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres – see accessories. Covering the bath with a lid reduces energy consumption and running costs. This range of baths will operate at 100°C however are not designed for continuous boiling, the NE1B boiling bath range is recommended.
Universal Accessories
- Polypropylene Spheres
- Calibration Record
Bath Armor™ is moisture and gas impermeable, high thermal conductivity, smooth and rounded almost fluid like and reduces your water consumption.
This blanket of hollow spheres is ideal for open tanks of water. Reduces thermal losses – Savings of up to 60% can be achieved with a single layer – Increase energy saving & reducing costs.
Allows easy and quick emptying of water baths, immerse into water bath, squeeze the bellow and point the outlet to a bucket or sink.
Notes: Water temperature must be below 45°C before use.
Product Code: BX0616
Factory Calibration record must be ordered with equipment.
- Factory calibration record.
- The completed calibration record will be enclosed at the rear of the instruction book accompanying the Clifton unit carrying the following information:
Unique record number for traceability. Serial number of the unit. Instrument it was checked against. Calibration temperature and actual sensitivity results. - The measurement of uncertainty ±0.8°C. Ambient temperature 21°C ±3°C.
Notes:
- The calibration record provides a measurement of precision about set point with maximum and minimum sensitivity readings obtained. Precision is defined as “(1) The ability of a measurement to be consistently reproduced” and “(2) The number of significant digits to which a value has been reliably measured”.
- The calibration record does not provide or assures any form of accuracy. Accuracy is defined as “the ability of a measurement to match the actual value of the quantity being measured”.
